 Honey refractometers

Please note: You can find the current prices in our Online-Shop.

For the determination of the water content in honey; beginning from 18 % the danger exists that your product starts to ferment and decompose. (Partly) fermented honey can not be sold.

Simple handling (Principle):

One/two drops of honey onto the prism; Read the results. The measurements can be performed by anyone - no knowledge or training necessary.

Precision optics!

Sharp border line!

Temperature correction data are being collected at Art. R 2522 at the refractometer and directly shown! Refractometer measurements should generally always be temperature compensated, since the measurement temperature does normally not amount exactly to 20 °C (calibration temperature).

Automatic temperature correction at Art.Nr R 71161!

Easy-to-read mask scale with all optical hand refractometers!

Leo Kübler Trachten set (diagnose of the sort of honey)

Art.No. I 1000

The measurement of the specific. conductivity can offer valuable information regarding the quality and potential distortion of your honey products, but it can also be used to diagnose the various sorts.

Due to the herefore necessary devices and equipment the measurements had been performed for a long time exclusively by public institutes. These measurements were standardised by Dr. Vorwohl (Federal Institute for bee research, Hohenheim) so that the measurment values  of the various institutes could be compared.

In this regard the company KÜBLER developed herefore an extremely simplified measurement procedure, so that basically everybody can use this method.

The Kübler Trachten set consists of:

For the rapid measurement of the tracht (diagnose of the sort of honey)

With our system you can easily and quickly provide evidence for distortions and/or false declarations, e.g. declaration as fir tree honey instead of fine flower honey.

Very easy to use: Simply dilute a few cubic centimeters of honey with water; measure with the conductimeter. The measurements can be done by anybody (without previous knowledge).

Measurement duration: Only a few minutes

In order to measure with the Trachten set you do also need a honey refractometer (Art.No. R 2522); thereby you can determine the water content (or, alternatively the sugar content) of the honey in advance.

 Vinoquant 3

Art.No. K 1165-1

For the determination of alcohol in beverages.

When selling honey wines and liquors the amount of alcohol must be written on the bottle (also when selling in beakers during festivals, Christmas markets, etc.).

Publicly recognised method according to regulation -EWG-No. 1108/825.

- Simple handling (principle):

From a given volume of aethanol-containing liquid, e.g. honey beer, the alcohol is being overdestilled into a calibrated template and filled up with water (the destillation takes only 9 minutes; a monitoring is not necessary).

The necessary temperature consistency (of the initial amount and of the distillate re-filling) is guaranteed through the assembly of the work place. The amount of alcohol of the distillate equals exactly the amount of alcohol of the honey beer. It is being determined in a hanging cardanic glas cylinder with a highly precise hydrometer.

No chemical reactions; no additional thermostat necessary; low labour costs; hardly any waiting times or costs in the laboratory; very precise: Much better than the error margins given by the public laws/duty of declaration. No knowledge necessary to use our Vinoquant 3. Simply follow the well-written instruction manual.

- Measurement time/duration: Only a few minutes; it is not necessary to oversee the destillation.

- Ideal for clubs
